Light

Bean-y, Chicago How does one control lighting? well if you are a landscape photographer, then you don't, the earth's rotation does that job for you. One must realize that light can vary in temperature, and the mid-day sun is probably the single most ruinous parameter that can destroy your capture.

So when should you click? early morning or late evening is perhaps the best time to capture any scene. The light is much warmer and imparts a color cast which is desirable in many instances. Since the light is never too harsh at those times, you do not end up getting blownout highlights which are irrecoverable.
